PABLO PICASSO MADOURA Sterling Gilt Pendant We believe this is "Woman's Face" which was made in 1949. 150 copies were made according to the Alain Ramie. It was made during his 24 years of work (1947-1971) at the Madoura Pottery in Vallauris, France. During this time Picasso produced limited edition ceramics, sculptures and jewelry.

The biography of Tunisian textile designer and color alchemist Mariem Besbes is almost mythical in its themes of cultural history, family lineage, and personal destiny. Lucky for us, her story centers around the ancient art of weaving. I found out about her through my most cherished subscription to The World of Interiors, an investment that has paid in spades.
